How we build reliable, cybersecure, safe ATM systems capable of addressing future traffic challenges
how we enable seamless exchange of complete trajectories
how to use AI to support operations?
NATICA brings these elements together. Join Frequentis, DFS and DLR for a new webinar eXploring NATICA, one of the new major SESAR research projects!
NATICA is taking some of the biggest concepts currently shaping European ATM – Service Delivery Model, cloud-native architecture, trajectory-based operations, SWIM and artificial intelligence – and bringing them together into one next-generation ATS environment.
In this webinar, we will make the technology tangible by looking at three closely connected building blocks:
A new platform for ATM – open, modular and cloud-native
How can we move beyond today‘s monolithic ATM systems? We will explore a serviceoriented platform based on cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes, designed to host interoperable ATM services from different providers. We will also look at how the SESAR
Service Delivery Model and European ATM Master Plan translate from architectural vision into real services – and how this approach can improve scalability, portability and
resilience.
One trajectory – seamlessly shared across the network
A flight does not stop at a sector or national border, but today‘s coordination largely still does. We will show how NATICA is working towards seamless tactical coordination and trajectory synchronisation between air traffic service units and the Network Manager –
evolving from today‘s OLDI point-to-point exchanges towards common to SWIM-based service interfaces supporting true Trajectory-Based Operations.
From controller assistance to the Digital Controller
And then we look one step further. We will present how AI can become an active member of the controller team: understanding the traffic situation, supporting conflict resolution, communicating with digital counterparts and taking over operational tasks. We will
explore how human controllers and digital controllers could work together in a highly automated, TBO-enabled environment – and what this could mean for the way sectors are managed in the future.
Together with experts from Frequentis, DFS and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), we will take you behind the scenes of one of SESAR‘s newest research projects and discuss not only what is being developed, but how it will fundamentally change the
architecture and operation of European ATM.
Join us and eXplore the architecture behind the future of air traffic management.
